Wild weather exhales inspiration

During our morning routine before school, my daughter asked me to write a poem. My first thought, I don’t have anything to write about. Then other thoughts followed..

I hear…… Unknown to me

the sound echos through the empty house

bang, clank shakes me awake

a ghostly presence of make believe

rooms filled with chatter

I try to muffle the noise

quiet restored

my mind is free

to dance around my thoughts

(mixed media art, pencil, marker and cut paper)

  1. I bet your daughter loved this! 😊🎨❄️

  2. I loved this. The poem, I mean. I liked seeing into your mind this way and comparing your morning to mine! And the combination of art and words is great – the speech bubbles and I love the expression on the lady’s face.

  3. BEAUTIFUL , I AM SO SORRY THAT I MISSED SUNDAYS EXHIBIT , I AM SURE IT WAS AS POWERFUL AS SATURDAYS , I WAS FORCED TO ATTEND THE FOOTBALL GAME , PLEASE INFORM ME OF FUTURE EXHIBITS , YOU ARE A REAL PROFESSIONAL !

  4. This is great, Jennifer! Poetry on demand from bits and pieces of whatever is right there. Thanks!
