On a sunny November afternoon, I was gathering with friends for brunch and an excursion to Old City , Philadelphia to visit art galleries. It is always an adventure spending time with a creative bunch of woman, and talented artists. Inspired by the day, I created art around my observations.
The power to truly listen to that which wants to come through you can be a tough thing to accomplish. Life happens, distractions occur but finding a quiet spot to sit and let your mind wander works wonders…. When words find you in that space where your mind fades, magic happens. Sometimes we just need to get out of our own way.
Every so often I like to change things up and create abstract art. I like the freedom and exploration of the process. The past few weeks I have been working on two mixed media paintings simultaneously. Working on these paintings felt like a tug of war, a love hate relationship, a labor of love with lots of juicy layers.

Feeling a little gratitude today. I realized how much I enjoy the WordPress community of bloggers. So much creativity, inspiration and support. I want to give a shout out to say thank you to everyone that visited, read my blog, followed and commented. I enjoy all the connections made!
A glimpse of my art space where I am preparing a new canvas. I will be sharing my creative process, on Periscope @flufnutter you can view recent videos. Be forewarned, I am new at this live video thing so it may take me a few more videos to get comfortable filming.
Wonderful opportunities happen when you least expect it. I was invited to open up shop for two days at Bernard Katz Glass Studio. I will take the opportunity to showcase my art pendants, whimsical mixed media paintings and art card stationary. Plenty of affordable unique gifts. Prices ranging from $15. to $55.
If you are in the Philadelphia area stop by and say hello. Light refreshments will be offered.
