My 100 days of music illustrated project came to an end. It was a challenge but I did stay the course and complete all 100 days! Everyday I picked a song to illustrate, and some weeks I went with a theme, for example: one hit wonders, the classics or songs paired to a family member.
The art I created for this project was posted daily to my instagram page @Jensimaginings. The 100 Day Project, happens once a year, anyone can join in to create something everyday for 100 days, and most will share their projects on instagram.

The past few months has been an adjustment for me, my time spent on social media slowed down, and I wasn’t creating blog posts. Making art came to a halt during the beginning of the covid pandemic. Over the Summer months I slowly began to paint again. My weekly family outings, surrounding ourselves in nature was a saving grace.
Enjoyed many hot Summer days swimming (and sketching) at Garrison Lake in New Jersey. Beautiful scenic cedar lake with plenty of trees to escape the sun.

As a family we spent time walking, hiking and having picnics in various parks in our area. A favorite place to visit is the Valley Forge National Historic Park in Pennsylvania.

As I sit in front of a white blank page, wondering what to create next. IÂ will just draw myself questioning myself, while I create myself….. Â My head hurts just thinking about it.
