November, fall into creativity

November brings a host to creative challenges, including the National Novel Writing Month to Art Everyday.  Currently Im taking on both challenges, this will  be my third year participating with art everyday month and my second go around for novel writing.

AEDM2014

Day 1.

Perfect timing, I randomly picked a creativity card of the day, from Julia Cameron’s, The Artist Way inspirational deck of cards. –  “Take one small daily action instead of indulging in the big questions.”DSCF4764

Visit Leah’s website to participate in the art everyday challenge.

Winds of change

(Untitled and unfinished – acrylic on canvas)

DSCF4631

As if by magic an unseen source

guiding along invisible currents

pushing air through tight open spaces

 traveling  across the surface

 absorbing into the body

reaching a new friend

speaks with quiet force – a change is coming do you accept

invite, anticipate, refresh,

and then its gone….

Living on the cusp of reality

DSCF4630

Straddle the invisible line of reality

step on over to where anything goes

where non-boring is a necessity in the common place

happily not to commit to a serious relationship with the hours

everything is and will not be what it seems

creating a place where fun exists and laughter soars

all in a days work

The guide

Winged beauty

Stands tall high above all

Out stretched hands grasping

nothing returned

High on her feet the cold hard surface pressing

One step forward

guided by the future

Still standing tall high above all

Sometimes we are given words and ideas and we just need to get it out of the head and write them down or draw it out. It so happened that the words came to me first. Years later thought the sketch was appropriate for this.
